  • Due to a recent update in Jira Cloud, Issue Transitions performed from Salesforce fail if null values are sent to Jira as part of the transition action.  This would be if no comments or field values were provided for the transition.

zAgileConnect Release 1.9.2 is an important update to address an issue encountered with Case-Issue Field Mapping configuration page (screenshot below) when deployed in the Salesforce Summer ’18 Release.  This patch update is recommended for all customers with zAgileConnect 1.9.x package, ahead of the Salesforce Summer ’18 rollout to production and sandbox orgs.

Lightning Experience Compatibility

In addition to the patch mentioned above, 1.9.2 also incorporates Lightning Design System in the package visualforce pages.

What Happens If You Do Not Upgrade?

Without this patch, the Configuration below will not be able to retrieve and display existing Case-Issue Field Mapping or allow you to configure any new mapping.  However, existing mapping will continue to function for Issue created or updated from Salesforce.

  • Incompatible Case ID captured in Jira Cloud when Jira Issue is created via Service Cloud Console, thereby impacting some Case-related operations in Jira (Case update to Jira, Case-Issue Unlink)

Please note that this bug is related to zAgileConnect v1.9.  It has been reproduced in Salesforce ver 54 (Winter 18).

Description: This bug impacts Jira Cloud customers and is observed when Jira Issue is created from Service Cloud Console.  In this scenario, API-incompatible version of Case ID is captured in Jira to associate the Case with the Issue, thus impacting some zAgileConnect functionality.

Specifically, Salesforce returns a 15 character ID representing the Case from which Issue is created, rather than the 18 character ID needed for use in API calls.  This 15 character ID captured in Jira to associate the relationship of Case to Issue is incompatible with other Case-related operations (Case information update in Jira, Case-Issue Unlink), thus impacting the functionality of these operations.

Upgrading to v1.9

v1.9 is a Salesforce package upgrade.  It may be upgraded directly over v1.8 and from the AppExchange, without any need for reconfiguration or data migration.

To upgrade to v1.9 from older releases, please refer to the appropriate Release Notes for each subsequent major release.
